I read the read hands file you recommended and I personally recommend “My muses have left me and I have lost all motivation to create as a film and music maker. Have you ever felt alien to yourself and your identity as an artist?” It was really important for me to hear as an artist :>
Thank you for that description of Lahore. I am Indian but whenever anywhere South Asia, especially Pakistan or Bangladesh is mentioned it calls to me like a beacon because we are all siblings after all, even if born in blood (as is all humanity of course; common in that even if different in paths).
The environment there, weddings, dusty streets autos and phat phatias (tuktuks) and weddings with elaborate rituals, not least the application of henna, are present across the subcontinent. It reminds one of home.
I am home but not in the north and the description is more of a north India that I miss. I do hope you get to go home to Sudan some time soon. If it helps I pray for Sudan as for Palestine every day.
