One of my favourite reads of this week has been a 1941 Harper’s Magazine piece by Dorothy Thompson. It starts strong: “It is an interesting and somewhat macabre parlor game to play at a large gathering of one’s acquaintances: to speculate who in a showdown would go Nazi.”

Let me not get ahead of myself! This week’s links round-up features a podcast on sustainable farming, inventive self-funded pilot TV show, and must-reads on Sudan, Congo and Syria. As always, if you’d like to become a paid subscriber hit the button below, and if don’t have the funds right now, just reply to this email and lmk :)
Right, let’s crack on to the good stuff!
